Summer Camp

Refine your volleyball skills! Join Apple Valley High School head coach Heather LaChapelle and her staff for a dynamic camp that will enhance your love of the sport. Focus on fundamental individual skills and enhance your team play. Participants receive a camp t-shirt.  Register online through ISD 196 Community Education beginning in July.

Tryouts

Tryouts are August 17-19.  After being placed on a team, practices and games will be every weekday through mid-October.  To be eligible to participate, you must have a current physical on file.  Registration through the AVHS website will open in early July.  Bring a bag lunch, water bottle, and snacks if desired.  Tryouts will be held Aug. 17-18 8:30am-2:30pm and Aug. 19 8:30am-11:30am in the AVHS gym.  Go Eagles!

***A note about COVID-19.  The season and camp are scheduled to take place as planned.  We will monitor the situation with COVID-19 as it develops over the summer and follow the Minnesota Federation of High Schools and ISD 196 guidelines for returning to play.  Student–athlete safety is our top priority.  All updates to the program will be found on the website and Social Media platforms.***

Annual Banquet Information

Please join the AVHS volleyball players and their coaches and families on Sunday, November 24th for a celebration of the 2019 AVHS Volleyball Season! In addition to the meal, each coach will recognize team members and summarize their season. Athletic letters and certificates, team awards and conference awards will be handed out as well.

The Banquet will be held at Buck Hill in the Buck Hill Event Center. There is a separate entrance for the banquet room on the north end of the chalet complex.

The banquet room will be open for photos and socializing starting at 3:30 pm, the program will begin at 4:00 pm SHARP with dinner to follow. Everything should be concluded by 7:00 pm.

We are happy to announce that due to adequate funds in the booster club account each player, plus 2 guests will be able to attend the banquet for FREE! If you wish to bring additional guests and/or family members, there will be a $15 charge for each additional person. Children under 5 are free.

NOTE: When signing up, please enter the TOTAL (player and guests [Free and Paying]) number of people attending the banquet, so we can plan accordingly. You will have the option of paying for additional guests via check or cash at the door.
